About

My roots go deep in New Canaan. My grandparents Eugene and Ines Casey lived in New Canaan on North Wilton Road and my grandfather started his business here in 1953, King-Casey Inc. on Pine Street. My parents Jack and Susan Engel moved our family here and bought a house on Marshall Ridge Road in 1980.

As a teenager I worked for the New Canaan Recreation Department sweeping the tennis courts in Mead Park. The two men who hired me, Steve Benko and Bill Kapp are still there running the Recreation Department. I also worked at the Baskin Robbins and Walter Stewart's Market in the downtown and these early job experiences gave me an appreciation for the best things in New Canaan that make up the fabric of our community.

After graduating New Canaan High School in 1985 I attended Davidson College in North Carolina on an ROTC scholarship and went on to serve in the Army in Arizona, Georgia, Germany and the Persian Gulf for the next four years. Following military service I came back to New Canaan with my wife to begin our careers in marketing and to raise a family.

I love this town and I am always looking for a way to serve this community.
